Truth is found in simplicity, not in complexity or confusion (paraphrasing Newton). This discussion has cleared up much of the current narrative. Thank you, Phoenician Hunter.
I have noticed people are mostly fine with flat earth, aliens, Tartaria, giants, mud-flood, demons, the devil, god-man, miracles, prophecies, Jewish faery tales – but mention 'false chronology' and you are quickly labelled a crazy nutcase.
I don't know if you've covered Elagabalus (God of the Mountain) the Emperor who imported the sacred baetyl (house of God) stone from Syria to Rome in 254 AD. This was almost direct Semitic rule over Rome. This is similar to the importation of the Anatolian Cybele (Mountain Mother) stone to Rome in 204 BC.
We never hear what happened to the sacred possible meteorite stones. Some speculate they are still in Rome, Mecca, or Jerusalem, or that the templars got them.
I see phonetic connection between Elagabalus and Byblos/Gebal. Gebal is the semitic word for mountain still used today. Byblos was the home of the Gods where the baetyl lived. You can see very similar coins depicting Byblos and Elegabalus, both temples housing baetyl.
My point is I believe the sacred meteorite worship is a secret vein that is still hidden in our religions. It maybe started earlier in Anatolia with Kybele worship, but it was certainly prevalent in Phoenician worship. Also found in Mecca still today, although the stone is not the original anymore.
The fact that the Romans imported Kybele stone to gain power in the 2nd Punic war against the Carthaginians shows the power they put into it. Some credited victory over Hannibal to Kybele.
Elagabalus importing the baetyl did not help him in battle though.
Thank you for the great information. Much of Roman religion was imported from Phrygia, the entire Anatolia area is of great importance and little written about.
Perhaps the significance of the black stone or meteorite (Rome also had the Lapis Niger) is a symbol from the catastrophe which almost wiped out civilisation. Maybe these black stones rained down upon the earth, and were viewed as the act of God. I'm not certain.
Also don't know if you've covered Septemius Severus, the only Carthage born Emperor and his offspring of Emperors who brought Syrian religion all across the empire. "Syrian" might as well be Phoenician.
Rome also incorporated Phrygian Kybele as a state religion and spread it all around the empire, there are Roman Cybele temples all along the Danube, In Londinium, France, Spain etc. I believe Cybele is the main mother goddess spread by the Romans, or that Cybele/Attis hitched a ride around the world with the Phoenicians.
Another note. In Samothrace, the Kabeiroi were worshipped alongside a Great Mother, often identified with Kybele, Demeter, or Rhea. The mother of the Kabeiroi, Kabeiro, was equated with Rhea, who was herself syncretized with Kybele in Greek tradition.
According to Diodorus Siculus (5.47), the Samothracian Mysteries were tied to Iasion, a culture hero who married Kybele and introduced her rites to Phrygia. Iasion’s brother Dardanus, a Samothracian figure, was said to have brought the Kabeiroi’s cult to Troy, linking Samothrace to Asia Minor. The Kabeiroi were also associated with the Korybantes, ecstatic dancers in Kybele’s Phrygian cult, and the Dactyls, mythical craftsmen, suggesting a shared Anatolian-Aegean religious milieu.
There's no proof but I believe Phrygian Kybele is Kabeiroi, same area and time period. This would make Samothrace Mystery both Phoenician and Phrygian.

Yes, I'm aware of Severus, and also I view Syria as pretty much Phoenician.
I cover the Kabeiroi or Cabiri here:
